If you know me personally (or if you’ve read my bio,) you know that I am obsessed with all things Victorian Novel and BBC miniseries.  This makes Downton Abbey my ideal television program.  I love that hour (sometimes two) on Sunday nights when Laura Linney brings me this  Edwardian-styled gem.  I love it.  With this in mind I recently had the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best wedding vendors in New York in order to create a Downton Abbey Wedding Inspiration Shoot.  And I have to tell you, I AM OBSESSED WITH IT.

I am so grateful to this amazing team for using their unbelievably creativity and talent to make this idea come to life in a way that’s even more beautiful than I could have imagined!

Please be patient with your browser-this is part one there are still many shots to share, and a stunning highlights movie!) but there are still a lot of images so it may take a moment to load…  sorry!

And with that, I share with you a few shots from my DOWNTON ABBEY WEDDING INSPIRATION SHOOT!

The theme-  A modern wedding inspired by Downton Abbey:

I did this shoot combining film & digital, which was a real treat.  Special thanks to John @ Pro Photo Connection for expediting my film processing!

I have such wedding dress envy-I adore Claire Pettibone’s ethereal designs!

Nothing but the finest Silver for our modern-day Downton Abbey couple…

In place of a traditional guest book, the Firefly Events girls made a Telegram stand using Western Union Telegram cards!  There was also a vintage working typewriter for guests to write a quick note!

Gift envelopes can be inserted into the slots of this vintage birdcage…

The ladies created an awesome dessert display…  And let me tell you, we ate lots of these desserts as soon as the shoot wrapped-and they were outstanding!  I can’t wait to have them again!
