I am seeing snippets regarding this weekend’s royal wedding everywhere I turn. From the tabloid magazines at the grocery store to the news programs disguised as actual news I can’t seem to escape the hype surrounding William and Kate’s nuptials. The thing is, I am finding that I am not really moved by the royal wedding stuff. I feel like I should be, seeing as a huge part of my job revolves around weddings (like, most of my job.) You see, I LOOOOVE weddings but for some reason the royal wedding just doesn’t grab me. I don’t really find William and Kate’s romance to feel that real-I kind of feel bad for them somehow that the whole world is watching them on what I think of as such a beautiful, sacred, personal occasion. I wish them all the best and I hope that their day is all that they dreamed it would be but I’d rather see one of my beautiful clients’ weddings any day Perhaps I’ll be drooling over the official Royal wedding photos in a few weeks, but for now it doesn’t really interest me that much.
I am happy to share with you a snippet from my fairy-tale-photographer’s-dream-light engagement shoot with Christina & Neil. I can’t wait to show you the rest of the shots, internet, but until then I hope you’ll take a moment to breathe in the misty beauty of this shot (one of my all-time faves!)
