The story begins on the Ann Arbor campus of The University of Michigan.  Lauren (a Michigan Girl,) & Mike (a New York boy,) were friends.  They were friendly.  That was it.

It wasn’t until the big move to NYC post-graduation that sparks began to fly…

And when they began they never stopped flying.  In fact, when Mike proposed to Lauren last Summer he did so with flying colors-he had a plane fly over a family barbeque trailing a banner reading “Lauren, Will you marry me? – Mike”  Needless to say, she said yes.

In the spirit of the great, iconic NY spots we set out on an Engagement shoot featuring some of Lauren & Mike’s favorite spots.  From the madness of Times Square (on a Saturday afternoon-which is CRAZY, let me tell you!) to the peaceful calm of central park we captured many of the myriad facets of this beautiful city and this beautiful couple who resides there.

We started out in front of Radio City.  From the first frames Lauren & Mike completely BROUGHT IT.

Are you two kidding me?  You look like a perfume ad!

We walked around the corner to the MOMA for some paparazzi style shots.

While trying to get a shot in front of the iconic LOVE statue, we were accosted by a team of scavenger hunt participants who needed to get a very particular number of people in front of the sign to cross the task of the list.  I kind of love the results (no pun intended, I assure you.)

I am obsessed with Lauren’s fabulous footwear.

We were fortunate enough to find a cabby affable enough to allow us to play a bit…

We then found ourselves in the middle of Times Square mayhem but I’m telling you right now it was worth EVERY bit craziness.

After battling traffic and tourists we made our way to the park for some serenity.  And some fun.

Mike had us cracking up the rest of the day…

And finally to a favorite pub for a celebratory sip…

(And some bling shots, of course!)

Lauren & Mike I had such a wonderful time with you during our shoot-I thank you for your willingness to brave the elements (and the tourists,) in order for us to grab some gorgeous shots!!

I wish you so much joy as you enter this next phase of your lives together!  xoxo
