Today is a very special day in my life.  It is the  anniversary of the day I married my favorite person in the world.

I have been thinking a great deal about that day.  “What was I doing at this time two years ago?  This was when ___ happened…”  So many wonderful memories, both large and small.   I then start to consider our engagement period as a whole.  From that beautiful, tears-of-joy moment of “yes!” through the sometimes stressful planning, the little dramas, the excitement, that brief period in our lives is one of the happiest times in my life-second only to the period from “I do” to present.

I’m feeling very grateful today

Yuri and I never got to do an engagement session.  We were living in two different cities spending every weekend we could together but somehow in the rush of planning a wedding in six months we didn’t get to document that wonderful engagement time with photos…

Maybe that’s one of the reasons I love giving engagement sessions to other people.  I leave every e-session completely in love with love.  When a couple invites my camera into their relationship for a few hours I get to remember that time in my relationship’s life with a renewed sense of joy.  I have the distinct privilege of telling the story of another couples’ love in the every day sense (as opposed to the heightened magic of the wedding day…)  I am a big fan.

So, with this in mind I share with you (finally, after way too many sneak peeks) the e-session of Lana & Jared.  This beautiful pair are two of the sweetest, kindest, and most lovely individuals I have ever met and I am so honored to share with you these images.

Lana & Jared were introduced by a mutual friend during their time at John Carroll University in Cleveland.  There was an instant connection and, as Lana puts it so perfectly, “…the rest is history “

These two completely adore each other:

and are completely adorable!

I just love the light, airy romance of these next few…

Swoon…

Jared & Lana, I am so honored, excited, and thrilled for your wedding in a few weeks!!!  Enjoy these final engagement days as they fly by more swiftly than imagineable!
