When they first met, Am says she remembers thinking to herself “I could marry this man…  There’s just something about him…”  And even though they lived in different cities, in different COUNTRIES they just couldn’t live without one another.  There’s just something about these two…

Am and Melvin had been engaged for what seemed like ages by the time their beautiful Fall wedding actually happened.  They kept putting off the date another year and then another due to Canadian visa issues (I know all about this from personal experience, being  married to a Canadian myself…) but this Fall they decided they couldn’t wait to begin their married life together any longer.  They planned to have a very small, intimate gathering of just their parents.  But then a funny thing happened.  A friend wanted to come, then another, then some cousins, and this teensy tiny little ceremony turned into the real deal.  Plane tickets were booked, hotels arranged, cars rented.  It was a wedding.  At a temple.  With a lunch reception to follow.  Am and Melvin were surrounded by about 30 of their nearest and dearest friends and family members, some from Ohio and others making the trip from Toronto, all in honor of the marriage of two of the sweetest, most warm and wonderful people I’ve had the pleasure to know.

Now if you’ve read my blog before you may remember that I am obsessed with Indian weddings.  This was my first Sikh ceremony and I loved every minute of it!

Am is definitely in the running for most beautiful bride of all time.  I think it’s her doe eyes.  Or that smile that lights up any room she’s in…

An emotional moment from the most beautiful, doe-eyed bride…

I could photograph these two all day.

Am’s best friend and his partner made the trip from Toronto…  Are people this gorgeous allowed to congregate?

These next shots are my favorite from the day.  Swoon.

Melvin is sending some serious smoulder…

As we were shooting the sun broke through the rain clouds just in time for some Henna shots with Am’s Mom…

Am & Melvin I am so thrilled to have been there for your day.  I think you are two of the kindest, most beautiful people and I wish you so love and much happiness as you move forward in your lives together (finally living in the same country!)
